Why don't we eat grapefruits like oranges?
I've been doing this my whole life but realize it's "wrong."

It doesn't taste that bitter to me! And isn't that the best part for you?
The weird white membrane? That stuff tastes AWFUL.
you have to pick clean the outer skin off of the fruit really well, and it takes more effort to do than with a orange but the payoff''s worth it if you don't mind tedious endeavors
that's how I was taught to do it but with a little sugar sprinkled on it.. YUM
You should really give yourself a super taster test. Super tasters basically have different tongues that really bring out the bitter in some foods.
I can't stand grapefruit either - benefits notwithstanding - and everyone else seems to talk about it like its something different than what it is. Turns out that's because of my taste buds. I haven't been able to order one of those kits yet, but given how even carefully formulated products can taste awful to me and with a cursory look in the mirror, I'm pretty sure about this.
Is this Inception of some kind?
Grapefruits taste so good when you peel them down all the way. All. The. Way.
I peel my grapefruits and eat them like large pink(ish) orange slices.
