I'd make a great cop. I'm a straight-talker, know my way around a shotgun (I went shooting once), speak a little French and a little German, can run well, know some hacking skills, and know how to placate a group.

That sounds like a good soldier, not a good cop.

Being a good cop is about listening, understanding, being respected and understood. Cops need to be the exact opposite of a straight-talker they need to be diplomatic and do the impossible task such as convincing a mother to turn in her criminal son.
