Who Here Has Finished The Goldfinch?

I finally finished the book about two weeks ago. The strongest opinion I have about it is: The Secret History was a lot better.

Only barely remember the Secret History.. read it when it came out. Enjoyed The Goldfinch, my only complaint is the length. She could have sliced 100 pages somewhere. A friend suggested chopping the whole Vegas part.. idk.

I liked the Vegas part. The part where it went off the rails was Amsterdam.

I finished reading The Goldfinch.. I loved it. I had read The Secret History year ago and The Goldfinch inspired me to read it again. Agree that The Secret History is better, but that doesn't take away from the fact that The Goldfinch was also an excellent read. Don't bother with The Little Friend, however. That was Donna Tartt's dud.
