What time is dinner
Jordan eats dinner at 11 p.m. I used to eat dinner at 4.30 p.m. but now I eat at 8 or 9 p.m. What time is dinner.

The answer to this question changes when a person has children. It is one of the most powerful forces creating social rifts between the childless (8 p.m., why not!) and the child-afflicted (by 6:30 p.m., or everything is ruined).

dinner is the main meal of the day regardless of when it is eaten. supper is the evening meal and when you have it depends on when you had dinner.

also on the east coast of the US dinner is 8-9 p.m. (until/unless you have babies or theater tickets) but in much of the rest of the country 5 or 6 is normal and acceptable

I actually said that 9pm thing to sound normal. I prefer bed at 7:30, I normally eat dinner in pajamas in bed, and it's not rare for me to fall asleep mid-dinner while watching The Good Wife on my iPad. I don't understand any lives that are not this.

If you're eating at 4:30 pm it's lunch not dinner.
Dinner is between 6 and 9 pm.
