You know it's funny, Adam. As a PhD student, I've never been happier or more fulfilled with my day-to-day life. But the cultural expectation that grad students are supposed to be living harried, unhappy, pathetic lives is so strong, I usually end up keeping it to myself. It's too tiring to have to defend my happiness.
Also, I get that this is problematic for you, given that your job is on the internet, but the easiest way to improve my mood is to stay off the internet for a few days.
Also I recommend offloading your anger onto other people online. Then you can go through your day-to-day life feeling happy. Six+ years of arguing online and I'm still surprised how easy it is to go "hey take my anger internet person" and they're all like "k sounds good."
doing owns and burns online
worked up an immunity over the years tho
candy
what kind? looking for something sweet but not too sweet but also good for dulling the pain of personal debt combined with global political turmoil
ginger chews, haribo (despite nazi ties), ricola (helps with allergies), hi-chews. mentos
ricola is a swiss mind-control plot, not a candy
no it's good. if you close your eyes and concentrate it tastes like root beer. on that note, root beer barrels
whoa, they still make those? that might help blunt the existential malaise
yaaaaaaa
