No One is Calling Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard "KRAX"
Buried in Brandon Ambrosino's rundown of the Brangelina wedding for Vox is an egregious celebrity portmanteau for the married actors Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard:
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard also pledged not to marry until DOMA was struck down; once it was, the couple got married.
This raises an interesting question. Some opponents of marriage equality argue that same-sex marriage will undermine the integrity of marriage in society overall. But for Brangelina and Krax, marriage equality did just the opposite: for them, gay marriage made them want to enter into a "traditional" marriage. Arguably in these instances, same-sex love strengthened their ideas of what a marital commitment could be.
The top link on Google for "Krax" is a Star Trek wiki. It is also a weird chip.
The name immediately brings to mind: CRACK, as in BUTTCRACK, or as it is known colloquially, ASSCRACK. Why does Vox want us to think of ASSCRACKS when we think of Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, who are an otherwise inoffensive couple who star in TV shows not a lot of people watch?
No one calls Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard "Krax."
