The de Blasio family landed in Italy for vacation and, as expected, 16-year-old Dante has captured the attention of media and Italian nationals alike. Via the Times:

Aides struggled to hold back the horde as Mr. de Blasio was hugged by his Roman counterpart, Mayor Ignazio Marino, and photographers' shouts of "Dante!" filled the plaza. (In a rerun of last year's mayoral race, Mr. de Blasio's teenage son, with his Afro, is quickly becoming a star here.) Dozens of tourists gathered to gawk.

Lest we forget in September of last year when President Obama remarked of Dante's spherical fro: "My Afro was never that good."

Dante slowly becoming a style icon before our eyes.
