I like Knausgaard a lot. I liked the PRR blog but I don't think I'm going to read the book. I'm sort of iffy on Tao Lin.
My sort of challops-y argument about all this stuff is that it's a resurrection of modernism's close attention to lived experience, and that it only feels different because we tend to romanticize modernists. I'm not sure that very much separates Knausgaard from Knut Hamsun except scope. (Maybe that's enough!) But don't quote me on that because what an embarrassing thing to say!

I agree that this isn't new and that a lot of the hyping of it as such is mostly people getting excited about nothing particularly new. But I didn't go to Harvard or intern at Harper's so am plainly philistine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
